Alyn L. Benezette, D.O.

Dr. Benezette is Clinical Director and Founding Partner at Coastal Pain and Neurology Centers. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathy from Michigan State University in 1981 and interned at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He then undertook his residency and fellowship at Wayne State University in Detroit. Dr. Benezette served the U.S. Navy Medical Corps in the U.S. and Japan and continues to serve the United States Naval Ready.
Dr. Benezette is a board certified, licensed neurologist, as well as pain management and balance disorder physician who evaluates and manages a broad scope of acute, chronic, and complex problems related to injured workers. He also evaluates and treats personal injury cases from both plaintiff and defendant perspectives.

Dr. Neil M. Brown, CEO

Dr. Neil M. Brown, CEO, is Clinic Administrator and Founding Partner at Coastal Pain & Neurology Centers.

Dr. Brown received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1978 and was licensed within the states of Florida and California. He co-founded and was President of AIIA Managed Care, one of the largest chiropractic-managed care PPO’s in the country.

At the invitation of numerous industry-related organizations, Dr. Brown lectures across the country to promote the philosophies for managed-care cost-containment procedures in health care.

Dr. Brown was an expert medical adviser for the Division of Workers’ Compensation in Tallahassee and certified in administering impairment and disability evaluations. He was also a member of the Florida Chiropractic Association and the Volusia County Chiropractic Society.

Mirza S. Beg, M.D.

Dr. Mirza Beg is board certified by the American Board of Disability Specialists. He is a neurologist and pain management specialist specializing in pain in the lower back, neck pain, headaches and extremity pains. He provides consults, trigger point injections, joint injections, epidural injections (transforaminal, caudal, and cervical), facet and sacroiliac joint injections, injections under fluoroscopic guidance, and lumbar discograms. He has served as Medical Director at Memory Centers of America, Inc. and NY Institute of Health, where he supervised a team of research scientists, psychologists, and social workers in the development of strategies to provide treatment and services for patients with memory decline.

Dr. Beg has considerable experience as a consulting neurologist to geriatric patients dealing with headaches, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, seizures, neck pain and lower back pain.

BOJAN PAVLOVIC, M.D.

Dr. Pavlovic earned his Doctor of Medicine from Chicago Medical School and completed residencies at Case Western Reserve University's Department of Internal Medicine and the University of Minnesota's Department of Anesthesia. He also undertook fellowships at the University of Chicago's Department of Anesthesia, and the Henry Ford Hospital's Department of Anesthesia. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and board certified in Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Prior to joining us, he worked at the National Pain and Spine Centers in Orlando, FL, the OSF in Normal-Bloomington, IL, the Illinois Pain Specialists in Gurnee & Geneva, IL, and the Southern Michigan Pain Consultants in Kalamazoo, MI. He is a member of the following societies:

  • American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine

Jeffrey M. Cullers, DC, LMT, CMMP, CLT

Dr. Jeffrey Cullers is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida and is a 2nd generation, Florida-licensed Doctor of Chiropractic and Medical Massage Therapist. 

Dr. Cullers has over 25 years of experience in providing effective treatments to address neuropathies, headaches & migraines, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, and lower back pain. His treatments include gentle and effective spinal decompression, and, if indicated, spinal manipulation techniques using the Diversified or Activator Methods, and/or soft tissue manipulation techniques. He is the only physician in Florida certified in Medical Massage with the renowned Science of Massage Institute and is proficient in treating over 60 somatic & visceral pathologies using a combination of manual therapies, such as manual trigger point therapy, connective tissue massage, and manual lymphatic drainage.

John Joseph Sassano, M.D.

Dr. John Joseph Sassano is an Interventional Pain Management physician & Anesthesiologist with a compassionate approach and commitment to eradicating stigma surrounding chronic pain. Dr. Sassano employs state-of-the-art medical technologies and procedures to provide comprehensive care to his patients and is recognized as a proven leader in the field of Spinal Cord Stimulator Implantation and holds double board certifications in Anesthesiology & Pain Management from the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Sassano's career highlights include his role as former Director and Co-Director of Cardiac Anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, as well as former Director of Pain Management at the University of Florida School of Medicine.

Among his achievements, Dr. Sassano patented "The Rapid Venous Infusion System" and was awarded "Inventor of the Year" for this groundbreaking invention. His contributions have been acknowledged internationally, with honors such as being selected as a 2015 "Top Doctor" by the International Association of Anesthesiologists and being featured as one of "The Leading Physicians of the World" in its renowned 2015 publication.

Dr. Sassano holds a medical doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and pursued extensive training, including pain fellowships at Texas Tech University and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Paul Schmidt, M.D.

Paul Schmidt, M.D. is a neurologist with a wealth of experience and expertise in diagnosing and treating neurological disorders. He obtained his Doctorate of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at St Joseph's Hospital. Dr. Schmidt then pursued his residency in Neurology at University Hospital Newark, followed by a fellowship in EMG & Neuromuscular Diseases at the University of North Carolina Memorial Hospital.

Dedicated to staying at the forefront of his field, Dr. Schmidt holds board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. Additionally, he is certified in Medical Acupuncture by New York Medical College.

Throughout his career, Dr. Schmidt has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in patient care and continues to expand his knowledge through professional memberships in the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Neurology.

JEREMY GRIMES, M.D.

James Grimes M.D. is a distinguished neurologist with a career marked by excellence in clinical practice, academia, and community engagement. Prior to joining us, he served as President at Grimes Neurology and Concussion Center, P.A., and was a Clinical Assistant Professor at Florida State University (FSU) College of Medicine.

Dr. Grimes completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine in 2005. He further honed his expertise through rigorous residency training in neurology at Jackson Memorial Hospital University of Miami and preliminary training in internal medicine at Roger Williams Medical Center.

Dr. Grimes' commitment to research is evident in publications in esteemed journals such as European Journal of Neuroscience and Brain Research, where his work has explored critical aspects of neuronal excitability and neuroprotection.

Dr. Grimes is a board-certified neurologist licensed in Florida with a specialization in concussion management. He maintains active involvement in professional societies, notably the American Academy of Neurology, where he continues to contribute to the advancement of neurological care and research.

 Rebecca Martin, MSN, FNP-BC

 Nurse practitioner Rebecca Martin received her Master of Science in nursing from East Tennessee State University. She is a member of the Epsilon Sigma chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing.

Ms. Martin is licensed in three states, including Florida, and her professional background includes extensive experience working at health care facilities that focus on neurology, headaches, and pain management.

BRAD TAYLOR, PA-C

Brad Taylor graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Master of Medical Science. Prior to joining us, he practiced with Nova Southeastern's Physician Assistant Program, assisting with a variety of Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Colorectal Surgery, Gastroenterology, Pediatrics, and Dermatology. Previously, he worked as a radiologic technologist assistant, caring for patients and helping them find the answers they needed.

CYNTHIA MITCHELL, APRN

Cynthia Mitchell earned her Bachelor of Science, and Master of Science, in Nursing from the Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN. Prior to joining us, she served as a provider at the Florida Pain Management Center in Mount Dora, FL, and an urgent- and primary-care provider at Advanced Urgent Care in Deltona, FL. Previously, she'd served as a provider at Roach Family Wellness in Altamonte Springs, LF, a primary care provider at Lake Primary Care Associates in Eustis, LF, a provider at the Ford Center for Pain Management in Cleveland, TN, and a provider at Peds Care, P.C in Dalton, GA. She holds the following certifications:

• DOT Medical Examiner

Lori Brandt, DPT, COMT, ATC, RYT 500

Dr. Brandt received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chatham College in Pittsburgh, PA with a focus on Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Prior to that, she earned her Master of Physical Therapy from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Before joining our team, she founded Shree Wellness, worked as a PRN Physical Therapist at East Suburban Sports Medicine Clinics in Pittsburgh, PA, NovaCare in Pittsburgh, PA, was the Lead Physical Therapist & Center Manager at NovaCare in Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh, PA, and worked as a physical therapist at other esteemed Pittsburgh, PA clinics, including Concordia of South Hills, Kindred Hospital, and River Valley Rehab Associates, St. Margaret Hospital. 

Dr. Brandt has also produced several courses on yoga, anti-inflammatory diets, and back health. Additionally, she holds the following certifications and memberships:
